Why the fuck is the tools we get is so damn cheap? My dev box is slower than a turtle. My monitor is old as fuck. They keyboard and mouse are absolutely shit. This makes me ask why the f are they so cheap. I swear to God my performance would improve if I have better tools to do my work. I fucking hate running the service locally or doing any sorta of test because of the lag. Though work life balance here is beyond amazing but man the tools here are absolute shit. #microsoft #cheap # #
buy your own shit with Perks+
Perks+ is supposed to be for gym membership and recreational activities. Not to buy tools to do my job.
It’s okay Bhavesh. There are always some compromises to be made for that WLB.
boi I am no Indian.
You’ll soon be .. if not already. MSFT is 99% Indian.
Because they're micro and soft
for real.
Are you using a SAW machine? My team had really good machines and tools at MS by the way.
If you definitely think yiur productivity will increase then buy with ur salary money, you will get more increment which will compensate
yea but I am cheaper than microsoft so ain't doin it
I'm also in Azure and have solid equipment. Besides my beast of a desktop, I also have a beefed up Precision 5570 as a laptop + 2 dell UltraSharp 4k monitors 🤷♂️ happy with all of them. HATE the SAW though
You need to try out apple silicon for your dev. You don’t need a fkin beast of a desktop and a beefed up precision. All day battery + 5x speed up compared to what you described. I know the MSFT fanbois will try to refute, but you need to try for yourself.
I have an M2 macbook as my personal laptop. It's great. My group in Azure builds low-level shit for both Windows so obviously macbook isn't an option. If anything, you're showing your apple fanboiness with that comment.
yall no longer got personal offices?
Why give the pip fodder the good equipment?
Same story at chase. Great WLB, garbage tools.
I'm genuinely surprised to hear that. I thought the WLB was garbage at chase.
Depends where you are I guess. I never work more than 40 hr/wk. average 30 probably
