Why Snap pays very well?
Hi, This is a genuine question. Why does Snap pay so well (referring to levels.fyi data) given that they were crushed (isn't this true) by other platforms? This question is based on the fact that the majority of their revenue is from advertising on Snapchat.

We pay top dollars cuz we want the best talent, just like every other company

How so? A few countries cannot provide enough for a company to pay more than a lot of the giants in tech, right? Am I missing something?
Something like 80% of 13-20 years old use it daily in the US. I think they have 400M mau. If you have that type of usage with 5k employees you absolutely can. They are just starting to hit profit as well.

Nah it still is , base wise and rsu wise (total dollar amount) The TC obv been tanking due to stock but they aren’t cutting back on the amount of rsu

Because if you are not doing as good as others, they pip you out immediately

snap is a camera company, social media is its side gig
Ya keep telling everyone that. Your main product isn't a camera it's Snapchat. Kinda a stupid slogan. It's like saying canon is a travel company
