“Do you not want to enroll in dental insurance?” “Subscribe” “No” “Amount to deduct from your biweekly paycheck?” “Yes” “Disagree” Seems like Workday is just a whitebox CRUD app written by a 16-year-old without any designer or PM involved. (And I say this as an eng myself. I’m just surprised my company and many other tech companies pay Workday gobbles of $$ for this garbage of a product… seems ripe for disruption) #workday

I agree. I think companies pay up because all executives are friends and cohorts and they are keeping each other afloat.

Man thread over delivered 🤣😂😭
Eightfold process is smooth af. Shows how strong fit you are, and just wants basic info and the resume. But its also opaque since probably the AI will do its thing? So you don't actually know what goes to the hiring manager. So I'm 50-50 on it. Try https://careers.qualcomm.com/careers
Sounds like you have a particularly messed up implementation of Workday, TBH. I know we have issues, but that’s not normal.
Anyone who thinks of any ERP as a crud application is naive at best. I have not been at Workday for a long time, and I know the UI sucks, but the amount of tech that powers this massive behemoth of functionality and configuration blows my mind away. As an outsider, even when I appreciated ERP complexities - I couldn’t have imagined the genius tech powering it. The challenge we have is that 15yrs later, it’s just very hard to modernise.

Companies like that are shit software whos primary value is they did the CRUD logic to integrate with countless 3rd party dependence’s that no other company wants to do
What are the dependencies?
