A lot of companies use a job portal run by Workday. You know the drill: on page 1 you enter your basic details, on page 2 you enter your prior experience and education, and so on, until you get to a 'Review and submit' section on page 8 or so. Now say you get to the review section on page 8. You notice a typo in your page 2 inputs. Rather than clicking directly back to page 2, the job portal forces you to click back through each page, one by one, until you get to page 2. You correct the mistake. Then you have to click back one by one again to return to page 8. That is: you must click 'Next' to get to page 3. Then 'Next' again to get to page 4. And so on. If you have a slow internet connection, this is torture. Is there any earthly chance that no one has ever told Workday how horrible this is and that it could all be fixed by adding extra buttons to the Review page, eg 'Return to page 2'? Or are they doing it deliberately to prevent their companies from being inundated with even more job applications? Some other reason? #workday #applications #UI #hiring #jobopening
And don't forget that they make you create a new account to start the application at every company
Yeah, it would be such a great idea to give your application data to every company that uses Workday. Sarcasm in case you didn't catch it
My last job we used workday for everything internal too; time card, reviews, managers used it to hire and manager their direct reports. The UI is awful and buggy.
Workday is absolute dogshit
Most of our software is set up and configured by our customers and not us. When was the last time you had fun filling out forms set up by your HR or finance department? The people setting up these forms aren’t UX/UI people but Karen from HR.
If customers have so much control on UX that it can become shitty (which is a pattern across the board for most companies), that itself means Workday is not doing UX right.
Nice deflection, blame it on Karen.
Workday is a lousy software made by lousy overpaid engineers
Oh man I feel like workday is a huge improvement over some of the other crappy portals.
Wow, you bringing in race here? What other examples you have to prove your point?
Every time it's a workday application on LinkedIn I will instantly back out of that
The one time I had Workday for an employer HR at previous job it was awkward then too

What notice do you give when leaving job?
I feel your pain!!! It’s equally bad on the hiring manager side of things too. But the applicant has so much data to input.
