They primarily don’t, unless you have the google search app I believe. I don’t have stats on it, but most just go to google.com and don’t have app. Google has android data plus they own chrome lol. Fundamentally they are also a stronger first data platform. If you go to google.com and search “bikes near me”, you just gave them data that you’re interested in bikes. That piece of code will follow you for a while.
Google uses the search query to target ads. You search for cars, you get ads for cars. Facebook needs other ways to find out what you're currently interested in.

Google can still target based on search query which typically tells Google exactly what the user is looking for. Social media companies don’t have this.
Google has visibility into identity by constantly nagging users to login — and pays Apple many billions to maintain footprint as the native search engine on iOS Google’s revenue is largely from ADs masked as organic Search results on Google.com and YT where they own the platform. Apple won’t compromise many billions in pure profit to advance their “pro-privacy” marketing campaign. Their stance is purely to increase revenue that can be extracted from their customerbase, it’s not really about privacy.
Doesn't Google pay Apple big money to run on iOS and not compete in search buisness. Google payment is one the biggest revenue source to Apple as well.

How are you are at google and can’t figure this out?? Google default search on iPhone and google search drives most of ads. Google still owns platforms android, tv, etc so didn’t lose the user data which FB stopped getting from its biggest audience iOS users
