Who are still buying them anyway? Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are better than Toyota/Lexus across multiple product segments. BMWs and Audis make much more desirable cars across the board. Tesla has EVs. Toyota is still pretending to try. Hydrogen? Lol. Was it the childhood fantasy of the chairman and he got stuck?
Because they last like 400k miles and start at 30k. 🧐
This. I buy cars with the intention to drive them for as long as possible - Toyota and Honda are the best ROI in that regard. They run for hundreds of thousands of miles, very reliable and cheap maintenance.
Korean brands are better than Toyota? Source please.
OP is smoking something. Toyota and Honda are still one of the most dependable and long lasting vehicles.
Toyotas don't even perform well in crash tests any more. If you want a Japanese car get a Subaru or a Mazda.
People definitely buy old Toyotas cause those bastards never break down
They also barely want to move. Almost all Toyotas and Lexises are very underpowered.

I loved my Hyundai Tucson. Died at 122k miles on the freeway due to a blown rod. All maintenance was up to date, I could buy a Toyota with 200k miles and get 122k more miles without worries. I'm never buying another Korean car.
Are any of these brands in the same price range as Toyota? Maybe Kia? What Hyundai/BMW/Audi/Tesla are you getting for the price of a Camry/RAV4/F150?
A Tesla Model 3 is cheaper to own than a Camry.
@Linkedin come back in 10, 20,30 years
It lasts forever even after the 3 year warranty. Others, after the 5 or 10 year warranty, you are screwed.
Because they are known to be reliable and have less maintenance
Toyota beats kia/hyundai across the board. No one ever says I can't wait for the new kia or hyundai. They are decent cars but still below toyotas and especially lexus. The only thing they beat toyota in is having a bit more technology. Toyota is slow in adopting new tech until they've vetted it.
Toyota is the Apple of cars but without the sparkly marketing
Lol, just like the 737 Max is slow in adopting new tech.
Toyota has good trucks
Do they even make Diesel trucks? Or electric trucks? I think GMC/Chevy/Ford/Dodge have better offerings, especially in the heavy duty range. For everyday non-trucking needs you will be much happier with a Cybertruck. That thing looks very safe.
Toyota has the best reliability 🤷🏻♂️
