Workday employees - I really don’t get it. I see complaints all the time on Blind and LinkedIn about how it take FOREVER to apply to a job on Workday. And they’re totally accurate You have to create a new account for every company that uses workday. You still have to manually type in your entire resume despite uploading your resume The parsing is awful. How is this not fixable where applicants can have one universal account? Why not make it like Greenhouse or Lever? #workday
Use Simplify.jobs crome extension . Takes 2 mins to apply
Honestly for those that are hiring sales roles right now, poach Workday AE’s. If they can sell this POS platform over the competition at what I’m guessing isn’t a cheaper price, they can sell anything
Because you as an individual employee are not the target market. Workday sells to the HR department so their user experience + executive user experience is the only one that matters
I mean wouldn’t you care as a member in the Talent org if your system is actively dissuading applicants? And I’m willing to bet at least some of the applicants it dissuades clearly feel like they’re time is more valuable elsewhere, hinting they could be very talented. Not all of course, but some
I would also add making it so an applicant can have a single login for all companies would reduce their data storage. Imagine how many duplicates they have in their data with slightly different information on each entry due to how bad they do at resume parsing
You think applying’s bad, wait till to get Dutch-ovened with Workday as an internal HRIS! Hahaahahhahahahahah!

Single. Tenancy.
Makes for a shit system
Post is peak ignorance. LinkedIn uses Workday for their HRIS with an integration to a third party ATS.
Just trying to understand this comment here. Is it your contention that because the company that employs OP uses workday for an entirely different purpose than what OP is complaining about, OP then has no right to complain? Weird take
It shows a complete lack of understanding how configurable enterprise software works. Each company has an entirely different configuration for their Workday tenant and they decide the parameter/prompt inputs required ATS information when submitting an application. There are companies on Workday ATS that require 7 pages of irrelevant information because of their HR leadership are incompetent. There are also companies that are on Workday ATS that only require a first name, last name, email, and resume attachment. It has nothing to do with the software being garbage.

It's their core philosophy - each application sent should take a workday. If you are dedicated enough to get through their dumb process, you can do any job really.
