Seriously now that nobody in US uses Facebook anymore and Twitter is the defacto social network to share thoughts 1:n (thoughts, not booty as with IG) - why doesn’t zucc strengthen with monopoly with a Twitter aq?
Antitrust.
Why it is hard? They have one of the best interest graph. They know exactly what i am interested in by my following and tweets and replies. Also they have a unique trending graph. So easy to run an ad auction on demand based on what is trending. It is just engineering is very badly managed and everyone you talked to there says it is chaotic.
A lot of people in the US still use Facebook. 180M - 220M or 70% depending on where you get your sources from. Maybe look outside your echo chambers once in a while.
Many people’s social lives are no longer on Facebook. It’s just something you open 1-2 times a month at best to mindlessly scroll.
Don’t even think twitter has had b2b quarters of profitability in the last year. User growth is down and filled with bots. Insta and fb app print money like it’s nobody’s business. I know it’s in vogue to peddle the same narratives but it may be good for you to look into the numbers and facts
They can but they dont have the focus Meta has. They are badly managed engineers.
Who uses Twitter these days anyway?
I use FB 👀

Antitrust monopoly Surprised if meta can buy anything multi billion dollar worth. I think there is a limit below it , it doesn’t trigger any antitrust
