Why don't liberals place blame on the illegals?

Especially the deeply irresponsible adults who try to cross illegally with kids. Instead of blaming Trump for trying to enforce our immigration laws, blame the illegals.

Goldman Sachs BFJ Jan 9, 2019

Because they don’t watch Fox News.

Apple nmgfd Jan 9, 2019

Corollary, because they watch CNN

Microsoft Tc292k Jan 11, 2019

Nailed it. Apple's an idiot.

Yup. He is bad.

Because it's hard to blame people running for their lives

Microsoft leet_away Jan 9, 2019

Most of them are economic migrants. That’s not the same as running for their lives.

Walmart.com ToKL28 Jan 9, 2019

Then I certainly can't blame them.

Oath Bootlegger Jan 9, 2019

They come here, work hard and make a living. Trump supporters on the other hand are lousy, lazy leeches who are just a burden on the economy and the society. They don’t work, are stupid, don’t raise their children properly and are ruining the present and the future of this country. I will take an illegal immigrant over a trump supporter anyday.

"why aren't these working class bums competing for crumbs with desperate illegal aliens and living by my social darwinist standards?" - human embodiment of why Clinton lost the rust belt

Clinton won the majority of votes.

Cisco @⭐️ Jan 9, 2019

Blame them for what? Obama certainly did not make them welcome. He deported more than any other president and Trump is not on track to deport more

Microsoft undefined Jan 10, 2019

This. Democrats are not fans of illegal immigration, as much as Trump and Fox want to paint them they way. They just want to be responsible, humane, and effective at how we deal with border security and immigration laws. And not demonize immigrants or cause people to fear or hate them.

Microsoft Tc292k Jan 11, 2019

Exactly. Show some class. We're Americans.

Oath fat Jan 9, 2019

Because many of them, or their immediate families, made the journey themselves.

Google jot Jan 9, 2019

Trying a balanced answer: Everyone (mostly) agrees that illegal immigration is a problem. Trump would have us believe it is a huge existential threat, where most liberals see the stats and think that the problem is too small to override their compassion. I do wonder how many of the children we murdered were under the care of bad decision-makers. Then, there is the point about the effectiveness of various approaches to secure our borders.

Google gt6N14 Jan 9, 2019

It's hard to know who's at fault when the media blasts you with "ICE literally kills kids stolen at the border" then print retractions weeks later in fine print. If at all. And it's not an isolated incident either. There's a consistent pattern of the news stirring up anger with half-truths or images out of context and then quietly dropping the follow-up. It's pretty shitty since ICE really does need to clean up its act and crying wolf just sows mistrust and division and distracts people from actual issues.

Source? This sounds made up.

I blame the employers of illegals. You can "blame" the illegals but they are realistically just going to keep coming as long as there she people willing to hire. So I'm not sure what you accomplish by blaming poor people from third world countries doing whatever they can.

New
Flatline Jan 9, 2019

Employers are trying to survive by hiring cheap labor. Everybody knows this. They take a calculated risk, and save money thanks to immigrants.

Amazon lvd11 Jan 10, 2019

Sure, but the employers are the ones American law can actually influence. They will actually stop those practices if you change the laws whereas the illegals will just keep coming if there's a job for them. I guess you need to decide whether you want to solve the problem or blame poor people in impoverished countries.
