Why is Hulu so shitty?
Any Hulu engineers here? Why is it soooo much worse than Netflix, YouTube and pretty much everything else? Can’t really watch 20 minutes episode without rebooting app and TV at least couple of times.
Doesn't comcast own hulu? That should tell you everything you need to know.
Hulu has been great for me (paid, limited ads, with live streaming). Never crashes on my fire TVs. Content is way better than Netflix too. My only gripes are that the limited ads are inconsistent and that I can’t take my fire stick with me when I travel because Hulu doesn’t let you log in from multiple locations (not at the same time).

Well, I mean, don’t they use it themselves? Don’t they look at the app rating in AppStore?
I guess I have an ad free subscription, but everything is seamless. Nothing ever breaks and I use it everyday.

Hulu has a wilder selection of programs than Netflix. But Netflix has better original content. So currently I'm subscribing both.

I use the same. I get those errors sometimes but it happens to other chrome cast apps for me too, like Netflix or plex. I’m thinking of upgrading my chrome cast.
It works fine for me I’m paid no ads subscription. I assume my shit WiFi is the issue 80% of the time. Stop being poor and spend $12.
I have no ads subscription as well, doesn’t help.
Post what device(s) you’re using. Their dev team is on blind and can probably help fix your issue rather than just venting and going away.

Haha a year and this is all you can come up with lol To be fair, it became way way better over this last year.
And their implementation of in-video ads sucks. If you want to seek to the middle of an episode then you will have to watch all the ads along the way. Same if you are looking for a particular episode, every time you open a new episode you need to watch the damn ads, even if you exit the video after 1 minute.
Well, I don’t encounter this I guess I have ad-free subscription. Can imagine how much worse it would be with ads though.
Oh it’s unbelievably worse. The episode fails to load 75% of the time but guess what? That ad at the beginning sure doesn’t! And sometimes you have to sit through it 4-5 times before the episode works. Hulu are fucking crooks.
