From the outside, it looks like both are social networks that are using your data to suggest personalized ads. When Apple released their no tracking feature, snap said it hurt them as well. So, why is snap able to come out of the mess while fb is not? How is the monetization model of snap different from monetization model of fb
Expectations of growth.
Please do elaborate
Market cap OP
When you have 100 you can easily get to 200 and say 100% growth. When you are at 100k its not easy to do 100% growth and become 200k thats the reason. Snap is working of of a smaller base. The competing product to snap is instagram and not Facebook. Facebook has no rival as it is rightly said a boomer product but enough boomers still. FB is really nice as hyperlocal random market place basically a craigslist. If they can spin that off and integrate into other products FB can die peacefully while Whatsapp Insta and the Oculus Meta shit can takeover.
% of growth. Snap has potential to acquire more customers where as fb has seen the peak and is starting to decline. Also snap recently started posting profits. So they've figured out the economic machine.
We got lucky this time. We need to keep delivering in order to keep up the expectations.
This! And your honesty/clarity oh where you are is gonna help get you there. Makes we wanna buy some snap.
That said, the future is still promising for us.
SNAP dropped 57% from all time high. That’s not “thriving”.
FB has a political target on its back, at least on surface it took a blatantly obvious political stance, for better or worse

This aged like milk
Zuck and his Meta fetish.
