I was watching scammer payback videos on YouTube where they hack into the scammer's computers and kinda toy around with them. Most of the scam call centers (>90%) tend to be situated in India. Is it because of their ability to speak English easily? Also, most of the call centre jobs have already moved to Vietnam/Philippines etc owing to lower cost. How come there aren't as many scam call centers in those countries? What makes India a hub for scammers? Something to do with compromised morals? Or is it just a numbers game since 1 in 7 is an Indian? PS: Don't cancel me for stating facts. I'm an Indian too and I'm ashamed that people from my home country are doing such things to scam the elderly and the innocent of their hard earned money and life savings. https://www.ndtv.com/business/illegal-call-centres-phishing-gangs-in-india-duped-americans-of-over-10-billion-this-year-report-3641165 TC 220
Statistically everything will be more from India. I think if you normalized wrt population, Nigeria, etc might have worse scammer ratios
Then there would be an equivalent amount of Chinese scammers. Poor reasoning
No English education in China.
What kind of scams are you talking about ?
All of them
High population and people know English?
poverty and inequality
The sequel to RRR will surely cover this
Because us companies run them at India.
Poverty and people know English. Sprinkle some desperation and cut throat culture and you'll get this mess. It's not just India but we get this shit from Africa to Arkansas as well.
American here used to think the same, then I delved deeper on YouTube videos and forums and realized actually more than half are from Bangladesh, but yeah you are right most are from Indian subcontinent
being a former british colony means everyone who is educated, knows english
