She (40+) used to work as a software engineer till 2009 (started in 2004), stopped - raising kids (15 and 10) and now she wants to get back to do something as she feels she is now in a cage at home. What jobs where 1. Getting into is easy, and will get you out of home. 2. Salary doesnt matter, low salary is ok. Some salary needed (so no 0 pay work). 3. Should be easy work, she thinks her brain is rusted. Fully depressed, guide her. We are all US Citizens

How to get into? My wife wants to move away from data engineering in QA job(but don’t have work experience in QA). Perfectly Ok with pay cut. Has 11 yr experience
LC and SWE
Yup, just grind LC to get the rust out. Review her old projects. Study engineering blogs from modern companies.

Teacher, admin at school or daycare
Cashier at stores if she has any skills then she can do something related to that like yoga instructor, sell homemade food on shef etc
Not teaching unless it's what you want to do. The pay is horrible, the work is not easy and one political party currently is being paid off to defund public schooling. Teaching is great but it definitely doesn't fall into easy. (and day care doesn't either)
Manual QA in many companies. Where they allow simple work and pays about $100-$150K. Don’t know any top of the head which are hiring right now but you can surely find such. Giving you an idea
