Hello everyone! I recently got an offer from Deloitte. It's a PM role within the Ventures team. So it's tech-focused and I'll work with software engineers, UX designers and researchers on a day to day basis. It's also less client-facing and more focused on internal products. With Deloitte mainly associated with consultancy and consultants having a bad rep of "no tech experience" - I wonder if FAANG recruiters will one day take a glance at my CV, see Deloitte, and just dismiss my application. Am I wrong? #productmanager #productmanagement
I started at Deloitte and I have worked at two FAANG companies since.
Good for you! This gives me hope
Yeah I actually wanted to focus more on delivering cutting edge software for users. I actually have an upcoming Product Manager interview with Amazon in a week. So I'm hoping I can stall long enough until I get the Amazon result
If you can and get amazon, amazon maybe be a better pick but come back and do post your offers for better analysis:)
Definitely not. Take the role!
Significant other moved from Deloitte to Amazon. No issues.
What is your TC at Deloitte?
Waiting for official offer next week. But I've said £80k min in the beginning. I'm based in London, 5 YOE.
If anything it ll amplify it. Ex- deloitter here. Good luck :)) if anything it opened up my path further
^this! Me too!
Really? That's interesting. I often see conflicting views. Some say it'll boost your chances some say it'll stump it. In what way has it opened your paths further?
