I got a new grad offer with a 30k bonus that will be prorated to 19k. I assumed I would get annual bonuses, but my offer doesn’t explicitly say this. It says after 2024, I’m not longer eligible guaranteed bonus, but I’m eligible to participate in ongoing bonus programs and my target bonus may be adjusted. Does this mean I won’t be getting 30k every year and might get nothing? #bloomberg #bloombergbonus #bloombergoffer #bloombergswe

Don’t worry everyone gets their full bonus here
Guaranteed bonus for the first year is given on the assumption that under a year is not enough time to evaluate your performance and adjust the bonus up or down. “Bonus is not guaranteed” is a legally hedging language so that you cannot sue the company of you get less than your target. In engineering bonus is almost a guarantee. If you get less than target that means you sucked at your job.
If I understand what ur asking, you wanna know if that 30k is recurring every year. If so yes, it will be. It will infact increase with each EVAL you go through. So as long as you are performing, you should get 100% or more of your bonus
Bonuses are never guaranteed.
While technically true, at bbg it’s basically a guarantee. Haven’t heard of anyone not getting 100% unless they’re actively trying to suck
Actually the first bonus at Bloomberg is contractually guaranteed. After that it is as good as guaranteed - unless you are in the bottom 5% of performers you will get paid out at least 100% of your target bonus. I've been here for 15years, always got between 100-110% of my bonus.
