Google showed the Generative AI research to the world. In 2022, Open AI launched one of the first successful API for the world. But Microsoft was not able to grow Bing market share even after a year of release with OpenAI partnership. To launch GenAI based consumer products, Big Techs are focusing on building or hosting their own GenAI model through Open Source. Companies who don't have that much resources are directly integrating with AWS / Snowflake / Databricks / GCP as they already have other cloud integrations with these companies. Only Azure is providing Open AI native integration.
Next year might be even bigger as lots more gen AI based products hit the market
No, it’s the trend!
No, this was never about Bing. GenAi is the only thing keeping tech going and potentially Apple with VR stuff if it takes off. There are so many applications for AI plus the chip wars getting heated plus cloud.
The fact you mentioned snowflake, means you know nothing about what you are talking about.
Look at Snowflake’s latest demos, the way they have integrated LLM in workflows is good.
Down? I’m sorry this is just start of new era! Microsoft just started to integrate AI to all products. Customers are waiting in queue. Other big tech like Meta also step into this trend. Nvidia selling chips and their stock is sky high. And tons of money pouring into related startup. And so many people are doing RAG to build AI powered apps. This is just like invention of Google search, Facebook network, iPhone 4 etc. I’ve already switched to LLM teams.
It may slow down a bit. But it’s still a trend.
Stripe OPs question is about the rate. Since pandemic the cycles of change have been very quick so it’s a natural question. I would say the hype will sustain as enterprise tech adoption will continue and I’m interested to see new applications for gpt: images, videos, music, etc
