Will Splunk recover?
I was shocked to see that the Splunk stock price dropped so drastically this morning ($205 to $155). I’m tempted to buy a few shares due to the low price, but I’m also nervous 😬 Will their stock recover someday? #Splunk #SPLK #stocks #investing
I heard they got rid of a lot of staff last year and recalled a lot of international workers back to the states.
Consecutive 3rd quarterly loss. I’d just hold off buying it for now.
Losses haven't been an issue for splunk in the past. It's our two quarters of missed revenue and lowering q4 guidance
Bad guidance...their finance team messed up
Heard they lost 95% of their 40 person finance team in course of one year. It’s well known the CFO came in and caused havoc.
So do you think the problem is their CFO/finance team (or lack thereof)? Rather than product direction, engineering quality, etc?

No one can tell if splunk is gonna recover, no one. Except time, next quarter is super important. If you wanna buy decide how muc you are willing to, then buy 1/3 or 1/4 now and wait for next earnings. But till next quarter it gonna stay below 190-200$ for sure.
If Splunk managed to go out of business despite all their brilliant engineering talent, that would be so sad :(

Buy for me. I bought 400 shares on the dip at around 156. I'm long on splunk but there's no way this company isn't going to succeed..... As soon as coronavirus is over I'm confident this company is going to double in size in the stock price would least hit 300 bucks in 12 months
