Now with the prices and some of the specs out (starting at $499 in the US), will you consider buying Meta Quest 3 after its launch on September 27th? Please explain (if you wish) in comments why or why not. I'm on the edge here: happy to hear Quest 2 titles will be available, but will decide when information on display technology, resolution and field of view is available. If Meta will offer trade-in it will be an instant yes no matter what the above is.
u not gonna get a WMR ?

Im looking to get into VR gaming. Have been considering Quest 3, PS VR2. Do you currently own any VR setup?
I have Quest 2. I like two things about it a lot: fitness apps (own a bunch) and gaming. I also played Everspace 2 on Quest 2 through a desktop streaming app and it was incredible - while not 3D experience, just having a giant screen for a space game is something else completely. Things I don't like is narrow FoV and ghosting that ruins movies.
Do you use prescription lenses? That got rid of the ghosting for me.
Most likely. Upgrading from a 1st gen (2016) Rift
Wish I could be there when you try it!
Have quest2. Looking at the improvements they have done in quest3, I might consider it
My son and his friends are gamers. Even they donāt see VR as more than a niche. A headset will always be awkward and uncomfortable. More than 30 mins and youāll have a headache. So itās a no go for virtual work. Itās not going to replace in person, for most people. Meta loses big money per unit on the hardware so itās not ever going to be viable financially for the company. Itās a novelty item and a niche item at best.

Vision pro isn't really a fair comparison
Price wise I agree, but Apple ads made me perceive it as an everyday work and entertainment device, just like Quest. Maybe with a bit more emphasis on work.
