'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
So recently went through the whole interview process and realized I fucking love negotiating. I was top 16 in nation in HS debate and got that same rush. I’m thinking about offering my services for SWEs for a comparatively small fee. Wondering what the interest would be? How much would you pay? I would offer anything from strategy to writing the emails to prepping questions that aid in negotiations. For reference, Went to WashU 2016 @Msft 2 yrs 5 months Recent offer from Amazon: 160k Sal 195 RSU (~320k now) 185k signing ~290k/yr TC over first 4 years I’d obviously prove this offer was real and walk you through my process using Amazon as an example, and probably do a free 30 min consultation to see if you think it would help. Thanks in advance. Can’t wait to see these responses... Update: took a couple of days but have at least 4 people I’m helping so far and 10 messages! Thanks everyone
For a record of success, I'd pay up to several k.
Ah, I thought you meant as a proxy. In that case, several hundred.
I might be able to pull off proxy but it’d be hard to do the phone calls. Definitely could do all emails
I would pay for it if I weren't a broke ass college student
Lol understandable
Would compensate us if the company pull the offer because negotiation was too aggressive? I can tell you there is a big difference in negotiation throaway companies vs your dream job. I shit in my pants when I countered my dream job low-ball.
This!
I feel like that’s completely reasonable especially for someone like me that hasn’t been doing this for a long time. But to be clear, I’m not naturally that aggressive and I wouldn’t recommend an aggressive approach except in very particular circumstances. I believe that my research suggests a relatively kind hearted, cooperative process results in reliably promising gains. Pm me If you want to set up some time to talk for free and see if it’d be worth it
You are amazing man! Got to learn a lot from you! Hail blind :)
Thank you for the kind words sir
Would you be able to provide advice for designers?
Cash is cash. Nothing I’d recommend is very specific to SWEs besides my familiarity with the merit portions of the process. Maybe with a completely different field I would be more cautious as my approach assumes you can make your initial counter over email. But designers are sufficiently close that I’m confident I could help.
Do you know of any good free or inexpensive resources (videos/blog/books) that give great practical advice on negotiating for SWE offers? Would like to learn these skills myself.
What level at Amazon?
L5. Like I said only 2.5 YOE
L5 SDE maxes out at $225k when joining On rare occassion, they might get VP approval for more. Highly doubt your TC
