Work in USA, Retire in Canada
US has the highest salary. Canada has better healthcare. Is anyone looking to retire in Canada? Been looking at their immigration system. The key is really getting Canadian work experience then you can get their PR and citizenship within 4 yrs. Does anyone know if their healthcare system needs a min number of tax years paid into before you are eligible?
In Canada you need to wait in line for treatment. Sometimes months
Same in US, most doctors are booked months ahead.

Health care is one of the illusion people outside are having for Canada. It is still good for people from some developing countries though.. Stay there as long as you have good health insurance from ur company. I saw some people missed golden time for their cancer treatment and moved to the next stage because of waiting time..(but urgent matters like heart attack, stroke.. will be treated quickly) It is not just a month.. The situation is getting far worse in the suburbs. If you still like Canada despite all this, go to the center of the big city as much as possible.

Costa Rica or Mexico are way better choices.

Triple citizenship helps, I have multiple options as to where I can retire. But in the mean time make as much money as possible in the US. To answer OP's question, as long as you have authorization to stay in Canada, i.e., student/work visa, PR, etc., then you are eligible for health care. In fact, it is your legal obligation to have health care, you must have it when you live in Canada.
If you desire better healthcare, just go to any Nordic country
I thought about that. But Canada is closer. I could even live in both Seattle and Vancouver simultaneously (can drive between the two).
Canada's PR system* is points-based with decreasing points the older you are. This makes it much harder to immigrate to Canada if you're older, by design. * There are other avenues to immigrate to Canada I've ignored such as marriage or asylum.

Many Canadians came down to USA to seek better treatment. The so called free healthcare system there doesn’t work.
For general stuff and common surgeries, Canadian healthcare is fine. The healthcare system does work. However for more serious things, going to USA to get treated is better, since doctors here aren’t as good as the ones in USA imo.
It’s more that doctors over there can’t do things that aren’t covered by the system. Some treatments are not yet covered (too new) but if you pay in the US can get them. It’s not a matter of skills. It’s also that the system can force you to try cheaper treatments first but in the US you can pay to get the expensive stuff.
