I have been in Nordstrom for over 2 years now and have saved the company close to $80M by providing business insights and coaching people. For the work that I did, I was promised a promotion which never came through. Now the manager is trying to elevate another person on the team when he isn't even qualified for his current position. There is a strong bias. There aren't any HR policies that would prevent this from happening nor do I want to push it any further. I chose to stay in the team for the culture it had and the integrity it bought. I no longer trust my manager to have integrity for which I am looking for a role outside.
