Workday Interview Tips

Have a phone screen for Software Applications Engineer this week. Has anyone taken their interview recently? Does anyone know what the entire process is like? Any suggestions, links or tips would be highly appreciated. #workday #interview #engineering #swe

Super easy. If you don’t move on then it’s personality based.

hey can i dm ya?

Join Workday if you want a low stress, good WLB company. But being an Applications Engineer for more than 2 years is career suicide. Would recommend joining a backend org if you have the choice

Updates on how the process went?

MHK pdsss OP May 24, 2021

There was initial phone screen mostly behavioral and technical phone screen where they give you an uml diagram you need to update the cardinality and relationship. (UML related) I have not heard back after this interview

Must have been a peoplesoft guy lol I like the honesty from recruiter though. Also I think it saved your career - working in XO is dead end job.

Just got out of the XO interviews, now i kind of get why ppl say its a dead end career., i never believed when ppl said you wont use that uml ood knowledge anywhere else, but today after taking the interview, i now know why ppl say that. They want you to design in their own terms, nto like the conventional way or even the textbook way. My design worked too but they wanted you to design the classes how XO does it, which obviously i have no clue how it works as a candidate. Just a huge waste of time, what i learned was that even if you designed it to their requirements, it will be wrong to them, i just felt hopeless, cause i mean how hard can uml and oop be? Total waste of time, if you care for your future, dont do this interview
