Yoe:10, current Tc: ~250k I have an offer from workday in Pleasanton Bay Area, for senior software engineer (P4) with Base:220k Sign on:15k RSU:240k over 4 years eligible for refresher Bonus:10% Is this standard? Is it worth moving from salesforce to workday? Will there be yearly increments?
rsu seems a bit low, ain’t industry standard for p4 is around 350+ (considering 10yoe)
No, workday has standard RSUs per band. For P3 it is 180k RSUs For P4 it is 220-240k RSUs
Could you please share your interview experience? How difficult was it? LC based?
It’s not tough. Straightforward interviews
Easy to medium
Yes worth moving because workday gives good refreshers. For P3, refreshers were 98k per year P4 might be 120k per year So even if you stick around and don’t get promo even then you will easily get 40k hike every year based on refreshers. Workday gives refreshers to everyone doesn’t matter if you are low performer or a high performer. Workday is a cult which believes in equity so doesn’t discriminate while awarding Refreshers unlike other places where top performer takes home all the major chunk of RSUs given to managers for disposal
Thanks for your insight
98k for P3 no, I know people got 80k for 4 years. They do, I was hired during covid and since it was remote I said I will be working from Texas, initially they cut the pay I said yes. But now since I am staying in Texas they gave me 45k for 4 years that's nothing and it will vest next year. Manager is shit, she cries that I am working from Texas.
Base is a little higher than the Workday recruiter I talked to mentioned
Workday comp grows yoy very fast because of refreshers. P3 - 70-80k P4 - 100-120k
I joined 2020 oct. I got 45k, that's shit after working fucking crazy. My manager says that I am living in Texas!!! Now she wants me to move to bay.
Looks typical oms offer. This is decent and they are good with refreshers. Your TC should be increasing every year with the refresh and stock growth
How is the OMS teams?
Not sure in which context, they are core services and work on high impacting projects. It’s a very big org. I worked with a lot of perf and scalability teams on OMS and they are amazing folks . Not sure which part of oms you were hired but in general I like them
BTW your comp is after negotiations or first offer?
That was my first offer. After negotiations it’s now at ~350k
👍🏽
Do you have to move to SFO bay area ?
How many rounds of negotiation did you do on the comp package?

Updated post
Hey, Did you have any competing offers to negotiate or just negotiating against given offer?
