What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Got an offer from Workday and Oracle NetSuite. Workday offered higher pay but Oracle NetSuite has the brand name? Which should I pick?
Is there still active development being done on Netsuite. I thought the ultimate goal of Oracle was to merge all their different ERP applications into one called the Oracle Cloud Applications.
Not sure the merger have happened yet.
NetSuite is very actively being developed. It is one of Oracle's biggest earners since acquisition and serves the small and medium business market more cost effectively than Oracle EBS
Workday is doing very well in national payroll market. It is eating big player’s lunch. It has more potential to grow. Only disadvantage is that they have proprietary tech stack.
Well said! So it might be hard to make a transition from workday to a different company since all the things learned would be useless due to the proprietary software
Absolutely not true . There are two different orgs , one is tools org which doesn’t deal with developing apps on our prop stack and then there is apps org whose job is to do just that .
Workday
Why would you work for Oracle?
Workday 100%
Doing what role?
What did you decide? What were the offers?
Decided to go with Workday!
What was your offer btw?
Oracle because Workday isn’t a very good long term choice Not diverse in any way
Can you explain why workday is not long term choice. Is it cause of propriety code
