Working at Oculus
Got on Oculus offer, quick scan through blind gave me mixed reviews about the culture and leadership, so I wanted to reach out to Oculus employees on blind to understand how is it working there as an embedded software engineer. How’s the WLB, future prospects and any major red flags ?

How was thy interview? Same as regular fb interview? Are you on the hardware side?
I am more of a camera firmware person so kind of in between hardware and software They didn’t really care aboutmy background and all the interviews were purely software based with engineers from Instagram, news feed, production engineering etc and were very leetcody
How was ur interview for this role? M planning for a similar one
Wlb not that great; future prospects are 1-2 years not that great, who knows after; red flags are they are hiring a ton of people in Oculus right now so there will be a lot of competition for promotions.
Do they have a strong roadmap for the next 4/5 years? I have read many posts about Facebook WLB in general being not the best, is oculus even worse? On average how many hours do you put in a week?
50-60. Can’t discuss roadmap. Oculus wlb is worse.
