Workload for contractors/consultants?
How much is work load for contractors/consultants? Which are hired by some other company but work for some big firms? Like HCL, Lancesoft type companies which work with Google, Facebook and Qualcomm etc?

Even though the explicit number of hours may be short (lots of places only expect you to bill 8 hours a day), the amount of work you’re expected to complete is much higher than an FTE.
Depends, if it's billed per hour, it's usually 8 working hours a day + paid overtime (if needed). If it's a short gig, expect a large workload
