These recent mass Shootings have triggered me to the point where I’m always looking over my shoulder wherever I go, UPS, Supermarket, etc…a few years ago (right before the pandemic)I took an Active Shooter at Work training…just curious as to what everyone’s experience has been like with regards to this matter… TC - 150k - RSU went from 20k to $100 (stocks are worth $0.40 now)
You def did not grow up in a city - put your big boy pants on
NYC bred…I actually own a gun…neither of those things take away from looking over my shoulder…every time I now see a 18-20 year old white male unfortunately 🤷🏽♂️
Do you take the subway? Maybe time to buy a bulletproof vest lol
Guess you have to carry a strap in some states
My stance is to curse conservatives
All of them ??
Yes all of them
Sorry to hear of your RSUs. That sucks. WFH is king. RTO is shit. As soon as people started stepping out of their houses, they're already killing each other by other means.
But…. I want to get away from my wife few hours every day for mental peace
Just get away and never come back. Unlimited mental peace ! Sometimes I fantasize about it myself. Unless you have kids
Pretty much prisoners dilemma of gun ownership
This is true. But if you are simply getting a hand gun, you get little chance against these active shooters who are all decked out with bulletproof vest and high powered rifles. The security guard present at the Tops store in Buffalo who was a former cop exchanged fire with the shooter but was ultimately shot dead. He stood no chance.
If you think this is a problem then you suck at statistics.
It's a problem in the sense that: 1% of the population dies of traffic accidents in country x. 2% in y. While both are low enough to not be terrified of driving at all, it still shows a systematic problem.
Oh man what a comparison, compare it with school shootings in other countries. Don't use dick to do stats
It's really not worth worrying about, if it happens and you can't GTFO in time all the training in the world ain't gonna do much. Just stay lucky lol
About 100 people die in mass shootings in the US every year. It's horrible, but at the rate of 1 in 3.3 million, not something you should spend your time worrying about.
That's not really the problem statistics doesn't really justify what those parents and students had to go thru and they're not even in middle school yet. This is the only country this is a reoccurring problem. I'm far from being liberal but sometimes things have to change. That's like saying since ur not African American statistically there was no reason for the civil rights movement.
If you are genuinely that worried, go buy a Kevlar vest or armored bag/backpack. Level IIIA should cover any scenario you find yourself in. Goes for $4-600 Also, look into first aid and trauma training. It will serve you much more than “active shooter” training. Otherwise, you’re worrying for the sake of worrying
