I recently completed interview rounds at Adobe. Most of the interviews were normal, how you would expect, but the system design interview experience was the worst in this interview. I have given Adobe interviews in the past including system design interviews, but this example literally was the worst experience through out any system design interviews I had given so far. Here are the first initial words from interviewer from an architect at Adobe( yes, architect) “Let’s assume you are building a workground on XYZ. what will you build and how will you design it” XYZ is replacement acronym that I am using. I asked what is XYZ ( found it was internal acronym used by employees). I did not understand what was the workground concept ( terminology used internally in Adobe). I literally did not understand the question, on asking what is workground, all I got was who were the users of that platform. I eventually did ask lot of questions to understand the problem, but really bad way to interview an external candidates with internal terminologies. I definitely expect architect level person to keep the system design interview with enough clarity that a basic understanding should come out from the initial questions.
Lol you dodged a bullet. Middle management is the biggest crap at adobe. They have been around for a while and thats why they are entitled
Which team ?
Lol .. all architects and managers in aep are bs people.. No technical knowledge also.. Why did you even consider interviewing for adobe experiance platform.. Aep is a bunch of incompetent managers and architects.
@Everyone who contributed : thank you for providing clarity. Do you guys know which orgs are good in Adobe and if they are hiring?

One purpose of any system design interview is to see how you ask questions since in most companies people don't even know the systems they work with. Don't expect any interview to fit any script. Again, it is also possible the interviewer was a moron.
Yes, I understand that. But the first phase requirements shouldn’t be using so many internal acronyms and terminology for external hires. Also I expect to get at least 10 to 20% understanding from the initial requirements. You want people to ask questions, but you don’t want people to ask meaning of so many words that you are using.
