I already have a couple of offers including one from Google. Should I go for an interview at Uber next week.. Feel like it was recruiter's fault for delaying the scheduling even though they knew my schedule and deadline's. This is for Uber ATG
Who knows, you might like Uber more :). By the way how long will Google wait for you to accept their offer? Do you know the Google team you will join? Google is not all roses, I like Uber more, was at Google before. So I would recommend you atleast consider Uber and decide. Also self driving cars might be more interesting project.
Not an answer to your question but Uber ATG recruiter couldnt schedule my onsite for 2 weeks. Still waiting. What is wrong with them?
The recruiter asked for 3 dates I am comfortable .. I gave 3 options and didn't hear back from them till the last option date
Actually $300k for L4 is also more like mid-higher L4.
Go to google !
Please go to google. The last 8 yahoos interviewed bombed hard and I have deadlines to meet
OP, I recently interviewed with Fang and Uber and got offers from almost all. I am going ahead with Uber since I found that my team members at Uber were more technical, organized and solving more interesting problems. You should not make your decision just based on company’s brand but also its future potential and your future growth if you take that offer. Hope you are able to crack Uber interviews as well, see you at Uber hopefully!
Thanks
It is doubtful that Uber will give 300 tc at level 4 even at a valuation of 48. In case you want to get tc ~300 at 48 valuation you should aim for l5. Also, uber doesnt negotiate much.
There is no harm to get another option. Recommend you to talk with the team face to face, if you get the offer. We have met several candidates recently. That’s helpful to you and to the team too.
Nothing will really change in Google 2-3 years down the road. It'll still be there to welcome you with open arms. A lot is happening at Uber now. Things are really changing for the better and there's a lot of scope and opportunity.
If you think it would help you get a more competing offer, go for it. Sounds like you should be able to pass based on your technical success in interview. Otherwise, don’t go and save your breath. I would go if you are this strong.
