Google is a big company. Big companies have good teams and bad teams. It’s probably worth talking to them in case you get an offer to join a good team. Having a decent offer in hand can relieve a lot of stress when you are burned out.

I find it hard to believe that you'll be offered a role in a good team. There are far too many internal candidates that I suspect any role you get offered will naturally be for a team others are avoiding. It's worth trying I suppose.
