Hi, We found a nice house except that there is a high voltage power line besides its backyard. We plan to buy it, but now we are just hesitating as we don't know how easy it will be for us to rent or resale that house. The house is currently located in North Rose Hill area in Kirkland, WA. Do you guys have any thoughts? What would you do to help you make the decision?
It makes it less desirable for sure but that’s generally priced into the price. I’d look online to see if anyone has any general comments regarding issues living near these sorts of power lines
Haha I like that this house has a reputation on blind; I’m clearly out of the loop
Link for the curious?
(sorry wrong thread)
no, but close
This house has almost doubled its value in 2 years
Dont go for it if it is with in 50 ft. Get an EMF meter from Amazon. You will be surprised.
No no no. Completely anecdotal, but I know a family in Florida that lived near power lines. 8 year old daughter, dad, and horse all died of cancer. That's not a coincidence.
Anecdotes are just that.
3 people in one house?!
Should be ok as long as everyone regularly wears a tin foil hat while sleeping.
I use only high-grade premium, grassroots, locally sourced, ethically raised, and verified organic aluminum foil.
Hah! Reminds me of ... Better Call Saul
Buy life insurance with that
How long has it been on the market compared to its peers? Are you willing to wait that long when you go to sell it in the future?
