I am on an H1-B visa and got laid off. I got an offer from another firm but the lawyer said they won't be able to complete the transfer paperwork within the 60-day grace period. What can I do? I did get a 10-year B1/B2 visa in 2017. Not sure if that is helpful
Just go with premium buddy it should not take more than 14 to 21 days
You can go back to your country and come back after transfer.
This is the best option, you can also try Canada if you have visa / if travel restrictions allow so. Or Mexico.
You can move on receipt. Won’t you get a receipt within 60 days?
OP did you get laid off from amazon? Scares me to join then, having an offer
Yes I did. The experience varies by team so you might have a better experience than me
Has your employment already ended?
4-5 days beyond the deadline won’t matter much to be honest. You can explain it to visa officer in case if questions are asked. There is no guarantee there won’t be questions of under 60 days anyway.
Your lawyer just want some extra dollars
You can do it in 2 weeks. Lazy lawyers or they want more money.
Yeah. Agree with most. Go back to India

They just need to file and get the receipt number from USCIS within 60 days.
Yes but the lawyers told me that they will not be able to file the paperwork within the 60-day period. They mentioned that it might take 4-5 days beyond the deadline.
Wow. Which company and team? Usually companies file within 3-4 weeks
