Got an offer at doximity that seems to be low. 115 base plus stock which recruiter said is worth a lot. Do they generally pay below average? What's it like working at doximity? Is it worth the pay cut? Would be great if current and former employees can chime in here. Kind of hating it here at Sony. Current base 125
Friend worked there, and that seems to be around what he got.
Based on your YOE that seems alright.. but you may have a little room for negotiation especially given your location and current base. The stock is indeed a valuable addition to TC I would not write it off in your decision-making. Regarding your questions about working at Doximity, it's pretty good and I would generally recommend. Great remote-first company that shows its appreciation of employees through all kinds of little ways. Strong leadership imo. And when covid finishes winding down the quarterly offsites are a great time / opportunity to travel. But it is what you make of it, you have a large responsibility in the quality of your experience in a remote setting.
Hey thanks for chiming in. I was going through the glassdoor reviews and they seem kinda fake? So many 5 star reviews. What do you think about that? Also read a few mentioning lower than average pay
Np. Honestly I haven’t taken a look at Glassdoor and don’t know anything about that. But the company is generally a positive force, takes care of employees, and has a bright future so highly positive reviews wouldn’t surprise me. You have offer in hand so the other posts mentioning pay don’t really matter do they? Evaluate your offer on its merits, if you feel you can or should get more you can try to negotiate or you can walk away. Up to you, you can make way worse choices than coming here :) congrats and good luck
I don’t work there anymore but can say the culture is great. Compensation is below average. Stock for private company is just paper money so no comment. The best thing about this company was the quarterly Offsites where the company invites all hq and remote folks to fun places like Lake Tahoe or Pebble beach and have fun. It’s not happening soon with Covid.
The paper money became real money btw!
How much stock were you offered?
Lol if OP joined, very wise decision. IPO last week got me 🤑
How many stocks did you have garaje?
IPO event/valuation makes all the difference in making up for below average base 💰
Curious about the role and location for this offer. And your YOE?
