Juniper layoffs

Juniper asked early retirers... To retire Or any other layoffs sign?? Please comment. Scary times

Juniper is dying anyway. Why you guys in juniper? Stock growth is negligible in last 5 years or so. Doesn't it sounds an alarm

Juniper Motive6 OP Dec 2, 2020

Stock growth is definitely an alarm... Sometimes people stay for different reasons... Some for visa purposes... Some who are stuck with limited skill sets.... And less or no time to upgrade skillset Thanks for your opinion.

And sometimes for cool chill life as long as it lasts

That's true

In short people who fail to clear any interview, just keep staying at juniper, and then they start giving excuses 😀

Whats wrong with staying with same company if everything is good. Have seen a lot of friends move for higher TC only to regret, micro-managed, piped and life becoming hell

Juniper 404 found Dec 5, 2020

EVERYTHING is not good. The company has nothing to offer, no good money, no stocks, even with promotion you get 3-5 percent hike(means no reward for your hardwork), no refreshers, no perks. Company is going nowhere. Even bonus, which at other places is mostly above 100 percent, but at Juniper its rare. Time to move on my friend, time to grow. Just ask any of your friends how much they make who is at a good company for the same number of years of experience. Also recently they forced people to take early retirement, there were few job cuts as well. Prepare well and move to a more stable and rewarding company unless you are RR or AA. Not trying to discourage or demean you, its totally your wish if you want to be with juniper or not, but sooner or later you will realize whatever I said is correct once you move to better company. All the best (I assume you are at Juniper)

What's the deal with early retirement? I heard the same thing with Cisco too. Are these companies targeting employees above certain age group?

Juniper zuzu8 Dec 21, 2020

Yes ! They offered early retirement for folks above 58 and atleast 5 years of service at juniper. 2 people took early retirement in my team, so I know. Also they were offered 1 year base salary with other small perks in one shot lumsum.

Why don't Juniper just lay off or fire them.... Rather than asking for early retirement This could save 1 year base salary plus etc etc.... However might damage some reputation
