I have an offer from @Anduril and SpaceX. The offers are extremely similar so it really comes down to which company is more likely to be successful and appreciate the most. SpaceX seems more certain to survive but Anduril seems to have more up side. What do folks know about Anduril? I that true? Their Revenue last year was only around $150M and they have a $8B valuation.
Neither seems like they ever want to IPO. SpaceX has some liquidity events 2x a year where employees could sell. I don't know about andruil
You should be able to get ballpark estimate for Anduril from usaspending.gov for USA government contracts. I see 200M for last year but they could have private sales and sales to foreign governments that are obviously not included
Oh this is helpful. What about contract awards value? Is that anywhere?
Yeah you can see individual contract awards and values. Search by recipient and filter by Anduril
Anduril is the boat that hasn’t quite sailed just yet - I would hop on now, seems exciting and ready to grow quite a bit more!
They have a similar culture - I know of others who have had an offer from both. Is location a factor? Where are the offers? Anduril is a smaller company, the equity has more upside potential. SpaceX stock has good liquidity though.
There is a crew of 50+ former SpaceX employees currently working at Anduril, I can't really say the same for the opposite direction, but those who have made it here really enjoy it. As mentioned above, equity at SpaceX is way more liquid, with buy backs happening at least 1x per year. New offers at Anduril are RSUs with a double trigger, meaning you won't be able to sell until we IPO... Which has a timeline of being less than a decade away, who knows. If SpaceX spins off Starlink as it's own company that could be a pretty lucrative event, but so could Anduril's IPO.
SpaceX = Elon Fanboys… 😂
SpaceX valuation is really crazy at 150b. Suppose you wanna be super optimistic and it's insanely successful and does a 7x to 1T valuation. Contrast that to anduril which is valued at around 8B. Its chances of doing a 10x is far easier and realistic. And it can probably go further given that there are several defense companies that have a 100B Valuation. If Anduril can set out to take a dominant market share among the primes, it easily becomes 1T
Wow that’s a crazy valuation for SpaceX. Also disagree. I don’t think we’ll see a $1T defense company in our lifetimes
Coming from Lockheed, pessimism checks out 👎🏼
SpaceX almost seems like a fake company
Interesting, what makes you say so?
