YOLO on Pinterest (PINS)!
While I believe in diversifying and long term investments as such, I have been longing to put 100K in a single stock for a while and finally jumped in today. I had been looking at COIN, LMND and PINS, and finally the recent StockBuzzNow analysis on PINS gave me the confidence to pull the trigger on PINS: https://www.stockbuzznow.com/post/pins-tumbles-15-what-s-next The article resonated well with me as it simply articulates why the market may have overreacted to the recent earnings and why PINS could still be a long term winner. So my plan: 1) Bought 800 shares of PINS today at $63.5 2) I plan to add another 50K on it closer to $60 if the stock falls further. 3) If the stock rises over $65, I plan to buy Call Options worth $50,000. This is my first attempt to go really big on a single stock and really hope it works out well :). I understand this may not be the smartest move, but I want to give it a shot. #personalfinance #investments #YOLO #PINS #SBN

All the best! PINS is a good choice if you must go with a big position on just a single stock. What is your exit strategy or time horizon?
I will exit completely at a 50% loss. Basically, I do not want my 100K to become anything less than 50k. Other than that, I am willing to hold it for at least 2-3 years.
Makes sense. Curious to know what Options expiration you are looking at? LEAPS?
Picking individual stock is never a good idea unless you like gambling. I would read boglehead or stat there before investing any where
Right. For several years, I have been diversifying amongst several of SBN picks and have been doing quite well. But I just wanted to fulfil my urge. It may be bit of gambling I agree, but if it does work out, it can be very rewarding. I am bullish on PINS at these levels.

Right, the remaining 50K ill go on Options as I mentioned. I do not want to put 100K in Options and get burnt completely if it does not work out. But I agree in general with what you said.

Good luck buddy. I am bullish on PINS too, but if I had to pick just one of the 3 options you were considering, I would have gone with LMND.
I see Motley fool shilling LMND a lot. Everywhere else I look I see only negative views on the stock. Are you also saying based on MF recommendations ? Or is this your own DD; What is your take ?
lol right; thats why i almost always ignore motley fool posts; they just market their own picks. But in this case my assessment is that as they penetrate into auto insurance, there will be lot of growth and stock price boost; so I do believe LMND has a way up from here.
