I keep hearing Yahoo has been quietly hiring heavy hitter leadership and many SWE to revamp under the Apollo Management Group. I thought Yahoo was dead but yahoo finance and fantasy sports is still alive. Yahoo looks to be getting a new life and preparing for pre-ipo. Anyone else hearing anything? #swe

It was, it actually was the player utilized by the pre-Google YouTube. It was acquired by another company and today they make most their money as a SaaS B2B business. I will say it's fun seeing the player utilized almost everywhere though. Just a regular software engineer there, nothing special, but so far the environment has been good.
