How is the culture like at Yahoo Small Business? What do you think of the future of YSB? What do you love or hate about working at Yahoo? I am interviewing soon as a PM, and would like to get some insights from the people who are working or have worked at Yahoo. Thanks in advance!

Nah. It's making $$$ still. Note it won't grow and your job will likely be slow down the bleed. Not sure how great of a career move it is. Many company's hire ppl who did "sexy" work. This is not sexy work. However it's a good interim position
Marissa wanted to spin off ysb with altaba. Basically, to get rid of Yahoo's Alibaba shares without paying taxes, the plan was to spin off a sort of a holding company. Regulations required the spun off company to actually be some sort of business, so folks said: why not throw ysb in the package? It's dead weight anyways... Ultimately, US government gave indications it might actually tax the transaction anyway, which scared the shite out of the shareholders, so it never happened. Instead, we got sold to Verizon and Marissa got the boot. Every since that transaction failed, you should see a sense of detachment in Marissa eyes, but the saddest was when Filo said goodbye to the company he had overseen for more than 20 years. Now they use their millions and millions of dollars to dry their tears.
Company is in maintenance mode, no major projects they will undertake other than migration. Fyi - ex Yahoo for 5 years
