When healthcare is tied to employment and you have a job that only covers bills without savings, you work until you drop dead. Head into any grocery store and you will find cashiers who are old enough to be your grandparents. Give it time. Canada is heading down this path—the citizens are demanding it.

We don’t know his story. Perhaps he is a compulsive gambler, alcoholic, or addict who blew all his money. Or maybe he likes working because it gets him out of the house every day.

I think “white privilege” is a dumb name since it is understood as “white people have more privilege than everyone else” which isn’t true. People should just say “white people don’t face racism like other groups” which is intuitive to understand, and is less likely to be misinterpreted.
As a minority, I think it is BS to throw “white privilege” at all white people and treat as they have no problems. To make matters worst, it’s a very divisive term and stupid to use in a country of white majority.
