All these OG YouTubers who became overnight millionaires are now leaving YouTube as YouTube has become more consumer focused rather than creator focused. But the platform itself cannot survive without great content. I have myself experienced a downgrade in recommendation and it's not fun as before. RIP YT.
Name one
Tom Scott
David Dobrik to Snapchat. He hasn’t posted a YT vid in a year and posts on snap everyday. Way less effort and I’ve heard snaps creator comp is better given how much easier content creation is there https://finance.yahoo.com/news/snap-insane-monetization-making-creator-163157567.html
It’s not going anywhere, but tell yourself whatever you need to feel better
🤡
Love youtube. There won't be any alternative in this decade.
YouTube changed. It used to be individuals making creative content. Nowadays YouTubers are just businesses
I disagree, they have focused too much on content creators and forgot about viewers, viewers are tired of the platform and YouTube is responding with desperate measures like more ads or auto-play. Creators are quitting in droves due to lack of engagement. YouTube used to be useful for tutorials but it ended when you had to watch a YouTube ad, the stupid intro, the "please subscribe and like" bs, the ad within the ad and the removal of the dislike button which was a great indicator of knowing if it was worth watching the whole thing.
Most creators that are leaving are doing so due to burnout after more than a decade of work and chasing the algorithm.
Definitely. I've also seen new and not so new creators leaving the platform after uploading high quality content but not growing their audience. I'm not seeing new creators replacing big names on the platform, the gold rush is over as the post says
YouTube is a joke with its censorship now
Where they are Moving
The same will happen with Onlyfans as well. Many Top OF creators live extremely stressful lives as they cannot keep on growing income on a monthly basis forever unlike Traditional companies you cannot guarantee positive month on month growth for decades. It’s depressing to earn 50k one month and 5k the next, you have to constantly keep on pushing your boundaries and do more degenerate stuff. Many of them also have a very inflated lifestyle, even more so as a woman (spending 1000s of dollars on nails, makeup, hair, surgeries, health foods, clothes, bags, etc), many of these top OF girls will end up broke just like a lot of NFL and NBA players. Not to mention substance abuse issues and alienation from family.
Need extra subscribers. Wonder what else can I shove in my ass for a $ that I haven't tried already??
Sounds like a business opportunity. Offer them generative AI that replicate the creators look and voice. Automated the degeneracy. The creator themselves can supply the training data. Once the cloning succeed, then the actual script can be outsource to 3rd party and they can transition to a business owner role. No need to makeup if everything is ai generated
Ok short the stock then and show your position Otherwise this sounds like some top tier prime video and twitch cope
But you can’t. There are too many portfolio companies and Google’s presence in every major index fund means you’re betting against people saving for retirement.
But how would a Google genius know about it?
Being a content creator sucks. Especially if your content is personality driven. They can’t take a year(s) between producing content like a musician, writer, or actor. Rampant burnout comes for everyone unless they diversify or turn their channel into an actual company like MrBeast was able to
probably why emma chamberlain stopped posting as much
To where? Tiktok? That’s for vlog only
TikTok is deffo the new goldmine
Most likely retiring as they all made ton of $$
