Gaethje, but I also like the under. We’ll find out real soon whether he can defend the takedowns. If he can, Khabib is going to get real tired and take a lot of punishment. If Khabib can get the takedown, Gaethje will probably expose his back/neck for the RNC.

Much like with Gaethje, I’ve been a Khabib fan since before he came to the UFC, they’re both beasts. But I feel Gaethje’s style is just such a bad matchup for Khabib. Khabib has 0 power on the feet, and so, the only real worry for Gaethje is defending takedowns and staying off the fence. My hunch says Gaethje’s leg kicks and sprawls surprise Khabib and prevent as many successful takedowns. Then, Gaethje’s aggressive zombie-like style clips him in the 2nd, and drops him in the middle of the 3rd. 3rd round KO by Gaethje. Cannot waaaaaaaait.
Should be very interesting. I know Gaethje's also been wrestling since he was a toddler and did Division 1, so I really wanna see how those takedowns play out. Still probably no match for Khabib when up against the fence.
Totally. I think Gaethje will have more of a scrappier wrestling style, a lot of scrambling, and neck jerking to which may throw off Khabib’s pressure. He’ll likely also want to keep things in the center of the octagon, and so, that will be a huge test for Khabib as it opens up more of a stand up advantage. That said, knowing khabib, he’s literally not going to stop until he gets him down. If he can do enough to back up Gaethje near to the fence (most likely by grabbing a single leg and charging him back) it gets really interesting. I just have a hard time believing he’ll phase Gaethje enough doing this with standup alone. Gaethje will walk forward as he knows khabib doesn’t have the power. We’re in for an all out brawl regardless.
