Zillow Principal compensation?
I am planning to apply for the Zillow principal role. What can I expect to get as compensation? I do not want to pursue it unless it is around 450k TC. Does Zillow usually offer around that range? SDE3, YOE: 10 TC: 380k #tech #zillow
I wouldn’t come to Zillow if you’re just chasing more money. Biggest perk here is the WLB. You’re not going to be getting 450k TC( not including sign on bonus) here for Principal
Expect more in the neighborhood of 350k
No way I’m a P4 and my comp is 350k. OP push for 450
Am principal. Tc 340k. I have ups and downs in my workload but on average a very maintainable WLB.
Did you get promoted or were you hired as Principal?
Promoted. New offers get 50-80k per year sign on for first 2 years and you'd likely get a bit better rsu than I have. And Z stock being suppressed with housing market is a good time to join now.
If you include signing bonus then yes for year 1 and year 2.
