Does anyone have any insight into the differences in company culture between these two companies? Who has a better product org for an experienced technical PM? Any red flags for either?
I'm afraid it's pretty much the same in Zillow, they are only getting worse. They are hiring heavily from Mexico.
Iโve worked at a private equity owned company before and I assure you Zillow is better. Things are indeed trending worse at Zillow but we are far from the environment that private equity creates for companies.
Yeah, I've not worked for those types of companies before, so cannot compare but I don't think anyone is happy in Zillow at the moment. I'm curious about the survey results. Let's see what other people think.
Current Zendesk employee. While the culture is changing, itโs not the absolute worst. There is still work life balance, good benefits, and decent pay. It sounds like both Zillow and Zendesk are in challenging stages, so Iโd ask you: which product do you prefer? I personally love the Zendesk product, and am not looking to leave just yet. :)

Thank you AAPL and NVDA
I don't know anything about Zillow. But I can tell you that Zendesk's culture and employee experience has taken a nosedive since being acquired by a private equity investment firm. Management is bad and getting worse. Raises are super low or non existent. Hiring is mostly in low cost of living countries. Harassment is ignored. It's not the same place it was a couple years ago.
I don't know how good or bad is Zillow... But I agree! Choose Zillow ๐ People are only trying to leave Zendesk.
Thanks ๐
