What happens when most of your team is Indian?
The company’s completely gone to shit. No innovation in there. So many of their product features suck. Got booted off the Nasdaq 100. Stock has plummeted. They don’t have an intern or new grad program anymore. The people there are so incompetent
Meanwhile, Cathie Wood pitched $1500 target price for Zoom by 2026. I'm not sure what she is smoking. 🙄
I predict Cathie Wood’s lifetime total returns will be the worst of any big fund manager in the last 50 years.
She is the investment world's contrarian jester.
But I thought enforcing return to office for a product that blew up due to remote work would yield better growth and productivity for the company no?
Tragic. 🥺
When was it not shit lol?
Did you see their commercial on tv? Worst commercial I’ve ever seen
tv🙄
zoooooooooooo - fuck you lol
Internally we think it's due to poor leadership, rather than untalented people. someone may have a good idea but it gets blocked by bad leaders who just want to copy the competition
Lol no there's definitely a lack of talented people as well. Everything is too much of a broken mess with poor engineering practices and disregard for anything besides just throwing more buggy into the repo as fast as possible with every release having more bugs, missing functionality, and pissed off customers. This is not engineering talent.
I dunno, sounds more like management just doesn't prioritise correctness as much as velocity. Which is a valid trade off to make. Doing things properly, fully testing features before releasing them may well cost you market share and cause you to lose to the competition.
Nobody knew that company before the pandemic.
Zoom was already profitable upon IPO back in early 2019. It just was a business platform, not consumer, so it wasn't a household name until the pandemic.
Good thing I dodged a bullet. My interviewer was incredibly rude and condescending. Would never want to work him
@OP this you? I feel bad for you but you shouldn't just throw dirt at Zoom because we laid you off. Like all mid-level tech companies there are upsides and downsides here. I hope you find a new job and a new attitude
🤣🤭
Lol unless you actually work on the main zoom platform, stop pretending like you create value in any way.
yup
