Reddit layoffs

Reddit friends, I've heard through the grapevine from a source high up at Reddit that there will be layoffs coming soon as not enough folks were rated low during performance reviews and managed out. These layoffs will not just hit G&A and Sales but also some bloated and non revenue generating EPD teams. Start leetcoding and best of luck to you all. #reddit #layoffs #tech

How many employees does Reddit have and how do they pay relative to FAANG?

People really seem to believe what they see on the front page of a website is representative of what it's like to work there and it makes no sense lol As if product managers at reddit spend 8 hours a day arguing about abortion

Amazon Jambalakdi Dec 10, 2022

Ridiculous for asking employees size and salary ranges?

Zendesk zAQW20 Dec 10, 2022

They should lay off the entire engineering team, how is it possible to make such a simple site and app consistently worse and worse

PMs working their magic.

Truly ignorant post

Google RokkuRi Dec 10, 2022

Don't they have less than 1K employees? That sounds like a fair amount.

Google ohokaycygn Dec 10, 2022

Lol Reddit is doing fine. We scaled some stuff back but no layoffs

Press (X) to doubt

Reddit ceuI45 Dec 10, 2022

Lol no we aren’t. Also people complaining about our app still probably use Apollo how tf would they know

Reddit hzdiw Dec 10, 2022

Tell me you got rejected from Reddit without telling me you got rejected from Reddit. We're still hiring.

Mixpanel JhRm57 Jul 14, 2023

Lol looks like they were right after all.

Yelp managing Dec 10, 2022

Yeah, no layoffs. Infact a lot of hiring happening right now from people who are affected by layoffs

Reddit downvote Dec 10, 2022

Anyone claiming no layoffs because Reddit is hiring is very, very naive or brand new to tech. In the last bust companies were adding headcount until the day they closed their doors. Does cutting benefits seem like the sign of a company doing well? Is Steve acting like the kind of CEO you’d want to put your trust behind. Reddit is an overvalued message board struggling to be anything else. NFTs are not going to save the day. 100% layoffs are coming.

Intuit 38375 Dec 10, 2022

Oh God, reddit is getting into NFTs now?? 😨

Reddit downvote Dec 10, 2022

Reddit is not only getting into NFTs it is pushing hard for NFTs and furthering development into the crypto space.

Reddit is great.

Reddit pay is famously shit what’s going on at Lyft where you’d be getting a 40% raise
