I am looking at opportunities at Memorial Sloan Kettering, was wondering if anyone has feedback from working for them?#culture #officelife #workplace @mskcc.org
Anything would be low compared to flatiron lol. I just accepted an offer from them in nyc for 155k
you accepted an offer from Memorial Sloan or from Flatiron for 155k?
Do you get some kind of free cancer treatment perk?
Lol I don’t think so
That would be an awesome perk.
You do. Free treatment for employees, spouse, and children.
5+ weeks vacation too
What’s the pay range like?
Not really sure. I'm not in data engineering. I believe they are considered premium jobs so maybe entry data engineer position is around 90-100k, Sr. Data Engineer is probably 125k+. Then about that im not sure, managers probably make 150k and run a team.
I like the culture. Very chill and laid back. Not a fan of their codebases. All the teams are compartmentalized, everyone is basically re-inventing each others' wheels, efforts to foster cross collaborations are painful and slow, and there is a lot of disregard for best standards coding practices that makes it excruciating to try to dev and debug on internal projects.

I’ve heard the engineering pay is lower than market
entry level software engineers I worked with were making ~105k, upwards of 110-120k with some years experience. No clue what the "market rate" is though.
