Hahaha I was wondering myself. I knew Netflix DVD was still alive (a 5 second Google search plus I still use it for a wider selection and I also read an article that it brings in 50M to the bottom line with no marketing costs), but I’m surprised at the dedicated dev team. I assumed they would just be part of regular Netflix.

If anyone thinks Tech Industry has humanity, they need to think again. Whats happening at twitter is sad but not new. Layoffs are and will always be hard on individuals but you have to put your career and family first. Big salaries and bigger risks.. You dont have to be a genius to expect this after the rough patch since April this year.
Dignified layoffs. 70% people getting laid off has no business justification.
I'm sure that pro free speech & skilled engineers have been fired as well. If he indeed released 50%.
Plus every single employees that were laid off got a fat check from both severance and acquisition. I'd quit my job in a heartbeat for a 50k check.
