Hi Binders, I have an amazon onsite interview for bie coming up very very soon. My problem though is, i am unsure how to start preparing for it. The moment i start learning one thing i think about another thing that i have to prepare for and end up not doing anything. I can say i am ok with sql, have not used python much. if someone can rank the following skills in order it would be great for me! 1.sql 2.leadership principles 3.machine learning concepts 4.python also where can I practice the above topics so i have handle on answering questions thrown at me? thank you!
1. LPs - without this you cannot get any position at Amazon 2. SQL - this is pretty much gonna decide your tech competency 3. DW Concepts/Data Modeling/ETL - not too advanced, but you should know basics and architecture of systems 4. KPI/Reporting - understanding of how a system is designed for these use cases. Most likely covered under SQL Python/programming and ML aren’t part of the role guideline so this sounds like a requirement from a particular team. This would be good to have and not make/break factor. Read up on just basics unless recruiter has asked that these are important. Although you should be able to think logically and write pseudo code. All the best! I’m a Data Engineer and do interview BIEs as well
Thank you for the insights! Do you have any suggestions on where I could practice and learn sql concepts ? Thanks!
Which of these primarily determine the level offered
