I'm pursuing my Master's degree and have no prior experience and will be giving SDE on-site interview next week. can anyone tell for which level i should expect there ? Recruiter just mentioned that there can be 4-5 Rounds which test my Algorithmic Knowledge. Thank you.
Is a master's worth it I'm debating
Depends on what you're expecting out of it.
For great understanding and insight
I would expect an SDE2. Don’t let them browbeat you for less. Most SDE1’s have a bachelors.
SDE2 ? Are you kidding me? That's too low, it should be principal engineer at least.
Bachelor's and master's with no work experience all get sde1 offers. Masters degree just gives you an extra 5k bump in pay.
Concentrate on leadership principles, you might fail on coding, but still go through, but if you suck on leadership principles, there is no way they will hire you. For L4 ownership and learn and be curious are the most important. Good luck
SDE 1, L4, ~135k TC
Definitely L4. Your recruiter will confirm this if you ask
