amazon relocation bonus
i quit amazon in 9 months. they told me i owe them 17k in relocation costs. what happens if i dont pay them back. will they come after me. serious answers please. i could use this money.
Why are you leaving in 9 months, makes no sense financially unless you have solid offer

Some employer wouldn’t like to spend a penny on an employee who has already jumped ship. Chances are higher if the amount to recover is higher than their lawyer fees. So yeah, there is a good probability.

They are paying me 17k. They are paying me after taxes. I will get 10ish in hand.

They will probably just take it from the last paycheck they owe you with the PTO payout?
You should've gotten PIP, they would forgive all that relocation.
